Young people shape the future of Europe Event – Register now and be mindblown!

1 min read

Do you have ideas on how the future of Europe should look like, but none ever listens to you?
Do you want to develop your ideas into concrete policy demands, together with other young Europeans?
Do you want to present your own recommendations to those who can make a change?
Then take part in this online event and make your voice heard!

Despite making up the 25% of the European population, young people face many barriers to having a say on our future. Whether it’s a lack of opportunities and representation or knowledge for effective advocacy, we are left without ways to share our voice and make the changes we want to see in our world.

We want to change that.

Since June 2021, we have talked to young people about their vision for the future of Europe and gathered their views and ideas. The Conference on the Future of Europe provides the perfect opportunity to feed these ideas into an institutional process which will result in real change.

We want young people to develop their own generational demands and take ownership of their future.
We want young people to have the opportunity to talk with decision makers first hand, and understand that they have the right to sit at the table where decisions are made.

For this reason, we are gathering more than 100 young people from all over Europe for a one-day event to shape together the future of Europe.

In the course of this one-day online event, you will:

1. Develop concrete demands for policy change at the EU level on four different policy areas:
A/ Climate change and sustainability
B/ Jobs, labour market, employment, social rights
C/ Digital transition, education
D/ European Democracy and values, migration, EU in the world

2. Attend a workshop on the European Year of Youth with the EU Youth Coordinator (European Commission) and learn how you can contribute to it.
3. Present YOUR recommendations directly to members of the Plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe.
